Suffering and smiling; our means of survival in Africa. Consistency is what makes lives and the world a better place; but resilience and persistence is what sustains and keeps one going in this part of the world, Nigeria. All hustle na hustle, as far as it's credible and puts food on one's table. Hard work is a character trait that is passed on to the average Nigerian at birth. Nigerians have overtime developed a coping mechanism; suffering and smiling. Pushing even harder as things get tougher and still smiling to keep their hopes alive. We develop thick skin even as situations get tougher, and that's why we thrive in whatever situation we find ourselves. Suffering and smiling; may our creator look down on us and show us mercy.
