#SARSMUSTEND
The message is clear. Nigerians do not want a reformation of the deadly SARS. We want a total and immediately effected dissolution.
We have gone past the times when the government deceived us with announcements of the faux dissolution of this body. Four times in three years has SARS been "dissolved", according to them.
This time, Nigerians won't rest until their demands are met. Lend your voice; on the roads with other protesters, and on the internet. The power of the internet cannot be overemphasized. Use your voice on Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp and every other social media platform.
We are not asking for too much. We are not asking that the ridiculous hike in price of essential commodities like food and fuel be reduced. We are not asking that they provide jobs for every unemployed, qualified Nigerian youth immediately. We are only asking that our right to life as citizens, as humans be respected. We have the right to walk freely on the streets, move freely in our cars on the road, dress in whatever manner we like without the fear of being harassed by criminals who the government gave guns. We don't deserve to lose our loved ones unjustly. No one deserves to be killed for no reason, and this is why we're protesting. This is why we ask that SARS be truly dissolved this time; these criminals be prosecuted for killing innocent Nigerians and be stripped of their weapons.
May the souls of those who were killed unjustly rest in the bosom of our Lord.
Nigerians have woken up from their slumber. Starting from now, we're taking the wheel and correcting the wrongs of the older generation. We are not inheriting their silence. This is our fight, and we must win it, so help us God.
